And I said “What about Breakfast at Tiffany’s?”

And she said “I think I remember the film; and as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it.”

And I said “Except for that racist character played by Mickey Rooney.”

And she said “I don’t remember him being in that.”

And I said “He was the Japanese landlord; and he makes the entire thing damn near unwatchable.”

And she said “Wait a minute, that’s from Breakfast at Tiffany’s?”

And I said “Remember? It stars Audrey Hepburn.”

And she said “Right and, it was directed by Mike Nichols?”

And I said “No it was directed by Blake Edwards.”

And she said “Then what film is it I’m thinking of?”

And I said “The Graduate?”

And she said “That’s it.”

And I said “But that’s not Audrey Hepburn; that’s Katharine Ross,”

And she said “I thought it was Anne Bancroft?”

And I said “Anne Bancroft plays the mother.”

And she said, “That’s right, the one who seduces Dustin Hoffman,”

And I said, “Great movie.”

And she said “That ending.”

And I said “I know.”

And she said “It’s pretty cool that we both like The Graduate,”

And I said “Well that’s the one thing we’ve got.”
