Regardless of their citizenship, the Republican Party at large seems to have little interest in preserving or improving the increasingly fragile condition of the planet upon which those children will have to try and survive long after the jowly knock-off lordlings of said cabal have shuffled along, smiling with satisfaction in their ivory linens as they muse on how much pain they personally avoided.
The only trauma they seem passionate about protecting children from experiencing is their exposure to LGBT persons, which is not in fact a trauma at all. I’m certain that many of them would also claim that they are invested in protecting children from being aborted in utero, but even if one were willing to concede to their framing that a fetus is to be considered a child — which I am not — one would yet again be compelled to ask why they fight so hard for any child to be born into a world where their party is willing to tolerate, facilitate, and justify all of the other traumas listed above.
