Miscellaneous Mental Musings of an Emerging Artist

Four-alarm priorities.

Sometimes the audience member receives a text message mid-show and it is mildly disruptive.

Sometimes the audience member gets up and leaves mid-show and it is more than mildly disruptive.

Sometimes the audience member apologizes as they leave mid-show and although it is more than mildly disruptive you appreciate that they are aware of the disruption they are causing.

And on extremely rare occasions, the audience member receives a text message mid-show but then waits anxiously for ten minutes before leaving, apologizing as they depart, and you forgive them completely because you find out later that the message they received was “YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE.”

Whoever you were, audience member, I hope the damage was minimal and quickly contained.
